Wow!

It has been a long time! Seven months to be exact. Well we did move, and we have been living in Colorado since July. Talon is no longer seven months old, but now he is 14 months old. He walks and runs like a pro, he still only talks in gibberish but he does it all day long. He shares everything that he can and he likes to help me pick up his toys. He's become quite the sweet young man :) Dustin is working as a sales manager at Sport's Authority in Denver. He sadly, has to commute an hour to and from work every day. We are still working on moving out on our own, hopefully in the next few months here..

moving

well i know lots of people already know this and such, but me, dustin, talon and rufio are moving. we don't have an exact date, but most likely on the earlier side of august. it's been quite the interesting process of getting to where we are, and we still aren't all set to go, a lot of things have to fall into place before we can go, but we both feel like it's where God wants us right now. we are currently very blessed to be staying with dustin's parents. but like any new married couple/parents, we would love to be living on our own. sadly, that is not something we can afford to do in california. so we are going to try and relocate to colorado. we chose colorado because (my sister)emily is there and has offered us a place to stay until we find a place of our own, there are actually seasons there, unlike the it's summer all year long business here ;] and because it is much more affordable to live there. we are both very sad to be leaving all the family that we have here in california, but hope not only to visit often but want to make sure that you all know that you're more than welcome to come visit us in colorado and the plane tickets are actually not so bad at all! so i think that is all, if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

oh man

i actually have something to post!
first, i tried to get my sewing machine working, and i'm sad to say i think it's officially done. i could probably go get it serviced, but lets be honest, i'd rather save that money and put it towards a brand new one.. someday. haha..

second, talon's blanket has suffered a few scuffs in it's short 6 months, one of which i put his blanket on a candle.. the other from a stroller wheel.. the burn hole, heather lovingly sewed some cute yellow patches on. the stroller wheel hole i finally got down to sewing on some turquoise. i hand stitched it, but didn't want it to look hand stitched, so hopefully i did that, but who knows.. anyways here it is..

i actually can't wait for more holes so that talon's blanket can get more and more personality :]

i haven't abandoned my blog yet! i just haven't done any fun projects lately to show off, i've been slacking off in that department, but turning up the heat in the 'cleaning the house' department.. sorry ya'll!

sadly

i don't have anything to post. I attempted make MADE's 90 minute shirt, but to my great disappointment, my sewing maching is so old that it won't sew through that many layers of fabric. i'm seriously bummed. i really need to send that bear to mason, but i'm lazy and really busy so go figure, i haven't. and because of the sewing machine fiasco i'm totally not in the creative mood anymore.

Yay!

I sewed a third bear today, he is teal with a black skull shirt and lime green buttons. He is SO cute but I can't post pictures yet because I made him for Talon's cousin Mason and I want him to see it in person before I post pictures, so it might be a few weeks.. But I'm not abandoning this blog yet :]

Here is an Easter egg I made, it dyed my fingers, possibly permanently, green.

And here is some stuff I bought at Jo-Anns today. The turquoise ribbed fabric, the skull material, buttons and stuffing are for another bear like the ones I made for Talon earlier, only I am making them for Talon's new cousin Mason. I am also going to attempt the 90 minute shirt from MADE with the turquoise.
