It has been a long time! Seven months to be exact. Well we did move, and we have been living in Colorado since July. Talon is no longer seven months old, but now he is 14 months old. He walks and runs like a pro, he still only talks in gibberish but he does it all day long. He shares everything that he can and he likes to help me pick up his toys. He's become quite the sweet young man :) Dustin is working as a sales manager at Sport's Authority in Denver. He sadly, has to commute an hour to and from work every day. We are still working on moving out on our own, hopefully in the next few months here..

well i know lots of people already know this and such, but me, dustin, talon and rufio are moving. we don't have an exact date, but most likely on the earlier side of august. it's been quite the interesting process of getting to where we are, and we still aren't all set to go, a lot of things have to fall into place before we can go, but we both feel like it's where God wants us right now. we are currently very blessed to be staying with dustin's parents. but like any new married couple/parents, we would love to be living on our own. sadly, that is not something we can afford to do in california. so we are going to try and relocate to colorado. we chose colorado because (my sister)emily is there and has offered us a place to stay until we find a place of our own, there are actually seasons there, unlike the it's summer all year long business here ;] and because it is much more affordable to live there. we are both very sad to be leaving all the family that we have here in california, but hope not only to visit often but want to make sure that you all know that you're more than welcome to come visit us in colorado and the plane tickets are actually not so bad at all! so i think that is all, if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

i actually have something to post!
first, i tried to get my sewing machine working, and i'm sad to say i think it's officially done. i could probably go get it serviced, but lets be honest, i'd rather save that money and put it towards a brand new one.. someday. haha..

second, talon's blanket has suffered a few scuffs in it's short 6 months, one of which i put his blanket on a candle.. the other from a stroller wheel.. the burn hole, heather lovingly sewed some cute yellow patches on. the stroller wheel hole i finally got down to sewing on some turquoise. i hand stitched it, but didn't want it to look hand stitched, so hopefully i did that, but who knows.. anyways here it is..

i actually can't wait for more holes so that talon's blanket can get more and more personality :]

i haven't abandoned my blog yet! i just haven't done any fun projects lately to show off, i've been slacking off in that department, but turning up the heat in the 'cleaning the house' department.. sorry ya'll!

i don't have anything to post. I attempted make MADE's 90 minute shirt, but to my great disappointment, my sewing maching is so old that it won't sew through that many layers of fabric. i'm seriously bummed. i really need to send that bear to mason, but i'm lazy and really busy so go figure, i haven't. and because of the sewing machine fiasco i'm totally not in the creative mood anymore.

I sewed a third bear today, he is teal with a black skull shirt and lime green buttons. He is SO cute but I can't post pictures yet because I made him for Talon's cousin Mason and I want him to see it in person before I post pictures, so it might be a few weeks.. But I'm not abandoning this blog yet :]

About not being on for a while apparently.

Here are the pink and green(supposed to be red and blue) low-fat cupcakes I made, which can be found here.

Here is an Easter egg I made, it dyed my fingers, possibly permanently, green.

And here is some stuff I bought at Jo-Anns today. The turquoise ribbed fabric, the skull material, buttons and stuffing are for another bear like the ones I made for Talon earlier, only I am making them for Talon's new cousin Mason. I am also going to attempt the 90 minute shirt from MADE with the turquoise.

i'm not abandoning my blog, i just lost my camera cord so i can't post pictures and i'm warning you in advance that i most likely won't be on all weekend..

but i did make low-fat cupcakes from MADE and they taste just like regular, it makes you feel not as bad about eating more than 2 or 3, haha. i didn't have any frosting though which was a bummer, and i didn't have enough powdered sugar for frosting. but i did make them red and green.

well, i have anyways..
when i was preggers with talon, haley bought me a book of baby stuff to make and i just finally got around to making some of it.
first, i made this little baby bear, i had to fill him with rice because i didn't have any stuffing, so i'll probably have to throw it away after a bit because talon loves to chew and drool on him and i can only imagine what that will do to the rice.. anyways here he is

haha i tried a second time to make a small one, and boy it turned out worse than this one! i think such small stuff is not my strong suit, but he is cute in a quirky way i guess

so i'm going to try and come back to this blog and actually blog.
we shall see how it goes.

talon doesn't particularly enjoy tummy time, but he will tolerate it for a few minutes.

talon has started to have rice cereal three times a day. i think he's really enjoying it and i can't seem to feed him fast enough. he's even learning to hold his own spoon (not correctly, but give him a break) and bring it to his mouth. i feel like he's pretty advanced, but i'm sure every mom feels that way.

last night me, dustin and talon went down to huntington beach to have dinner with denise, kim, david and ashley since denise is going away, we went to a sushi place called "ra" it was really good, i took some pictures, but most of them didn't turn out cause the lighting wasn't super great.

that's kind of all for now, i'll try to keep up with the blogging this time.

here's the baby's room freshly painted, we moved in all the furniture we currently have to find that there will be no more room for anything else, this'll be interesting..

here's all the baby gifts we've gotten so far, blankets included. oh, and all the baby furniture is from annamae, so those are all gifts as well[thank you so much anna!!]

tuesday morning dustin called me from work and asked if i wanted to go to the beach, i said sure and in the back of my mind i thought 'i think he might be purposing..' so i got kind of excited thinking of what he might have planned, but then a few hours later he called again from work and asked what i wanted to do later..as in he didn't even remember that we were going to the beach, so obviously he wasn't planning on purposing :[ anyways by that time i still wanted to go to the beach, so when he got off i asked if we could go once it got dark and we could go have a bonfire..he said that was fine and wanted to play video games until it got dark, so that's what he did while i screwed around on the computer, once it got dark we finally decided to leave, by the time we got down to huntington all the beaches that have fire pits where locked(the gates to get to the parking lot were locked) so i was annoyed and said "forget lets just go home!' i was being a complete and total brat to him the whole way there too! :p anyways we decided to go sit on the beach anyways, we walked down to the water and i was trying to lay out a blanket, but because it was windy i couldn't do it alone so i said "dustin can you help me?' he dropped onto his knees and cause i'm oblivious i was like "why aren't you helping me?!' like a complete jerk :p then he goes "let me do this first!" then i knew what he was doing :p haha what a butthead i am!! of course i said yes!! then because we were out by david and ashley(dustin's brother and his fiance) they came out and met us, we went to yogurtland, then back to david and ashley's apartment for some martinellis!

so my life has been pretty crazy lately as some of you know, i just thought i'd do a quick picture update, dustin's birthday was on thursday, on wednesday my dad took me and him to see star trek then my parents, nole and heather and me and dustin went out to outback steakhouse, then out to ce fiore(yogurt) afterwards, it was a lot of fun and we laughed a lot(mostly at jim gaffigan)..then thursday night dustin's parents took us out to steak and stein for another steak dinner which was also fun..then last night me, dustin, aj, buddy, jenn, nathan, genesis, david, ashley, john and andrea all went out to outback steakhouse and then to a gaming arcade, it was a lot of fun, but it was a late night, anyways, here are a few pictures of dustin from last night..

and emily came and saw me yesterday, brought me gifts, and bought me gifts which was amazing!! all i can say is that i love my family and how loving and supportive they are, i feel bad for everyone else who's family isn't a awesome as mine :p

yesterday me and dustin took rufio to the dog beach to see what he thought,
he seemed to have a lot of fun, he loved the water he just didn't like being too deep in it,
and he especially loved playing rough with all the other dogs(he doesn't get to do that often)

i never thought i'd be having nightmares about hume,
it's the weirdest thing..
i guess when you're forced to let go of something
when you're not ready to
your mind goes places you didn't know it could go.

anywho.
facedown fest was amazing
i only went night one,
which i'm glad for, i was too sore for both nights
and because it was deathstar's last show it got crazy..
not that night one wasn't, cause it was!
the coolest part though was sleeping giant closing the show
and just talking about god and what we're really all there for
then we took it outside and multiple kids were lead to the lord,
there was a lot of healing, crying and prayers for probably two hours after
it's just always really cool to see all the kids that everyone else thinks are the
fall of our generation in the middle of something huge.

i bought myself some much needed headphones with a little bit of left over birthday money, and these are what i got, "skullcandy lowriders" i love their color :]

& they fold up all tiny & cute, what else could i ask for?!

went to meet with a dog walking client who never showed up and then emailed me to tell me it was my fault she didn't show, awesome. picked up dustins car which is completely ballin' with white hubcaps and everything. picked up dog poop. searched for three missing bones in the backyard, found only one. did nothing. did nothing. did nothing. went to a park, ran rufio. went to another park, ran rufio. came back for dinner, there isn't any here. boo.

annamae challenged me to post something small or big everyday, i think i'll try, although i know it'll be hard because sometimes i forget i even have things like a blog :p

on super bowl sunday i fed rufio a chicken bone, i had never even heard you weren't supposed to do that, oops! dustin hasn't stopped bugging me about it, but so far he seems perfectly fine so hopefully he'll be okay :p anyways that's all for now, i'm headed to target for some toiletries that i need.
